Barrio Nopal Park
About
Barrio Nopal Park is a 5.72-acre neighborhood park located at 311 E Elvira Road in Tucson’s Ward 1, which opened to the public in August 2025. The park features a shaded splash pad, playground, walking paths, ramadas, restrooms, and natural vegetation, serving a historically underserved community on Tucson’s south side. The project was funded through voter-approved Proposition 407 and the American Rescue Plan Act, representing years of community planning and advocacy from the Barrio Nopal neighborhood.
