CSM Martin R. “Gunny” Barreras Memorial Park

CSM Martin R. “Gunny” Barreras Memorial Park is a 19.64-acre community park located at 5890 S. Campbell Ave. in Tucson’s Ward 5, operated by the City of Tucson Parks and Recreation Department. The park underwent major renovations completed in June 2023, featuring new amenities including sports field lights, playgrounds, a splash pad, walking path, track, and restrooms. The park is dedicated to the memory of Command Sergeant Major Martin R. Barreras, a decorated U.S. Army soldier and Tucson native, and serves as a safe outdoor gathering space for community recreation and engagement.
