About

Joaquin Murrieta Park is a 49-acre City of Tucson metro park located at 1400 N. Silverbell Road in West Tucson that offers recreational facilities including baseball fields, playgrounds, a splash pad, ramadas for events, restrooms, and picnic areas. Originally called Northwest District Park before being renamed in 1990, the park underwent a significant renovation completed in May 2025, with over $14 million invested in improvements through funding from Proposition 407, impact fees, and the Arizona State Parks and Trails Land and Water Conservation Fund. The park has strong community roots, with organizations like Western Little League and the Silvercroft Neighborhood Association playing key roles in advocating for its development and improvements.
