Place to Play Park

Place to Play Park is an inclusive playground located at the corner of Algonquin and Ashworth streets in Cedar Falls, Iowa, designed for children and families of all physical, mental, and social abilities. The park was built through the efforts of two local mothers, Sarah Corkery and Amanda Weichers, who raised approximately $1 million over four years with support from community grants and donations. Owned by the City of Cedar Falls, the park features accessible amenities including a zip line with adaptive options, sensory gardens, adaptive swings, accessible bathrooms, and a fenced playground with rubber flooring.
