Central Park

Central Park is a 3.8-acre community park located at 925 3rd Avenue in Grinnell, Iowa, originally gifted to the city by J.B. Grinnell in the late 1800s. The park serves as a hub for community gatherings and events, featuring amenities including a playground, splash pad, picnic shelters, amphitheater, gazebo, and hosts the Thursday & Saturday Farmers Market and summer Music in the Park series. A comprehensive renovation that began with a master plan and incorporated public-private funding has revitalized Central Park, making it once again the heart of downtown Grinnell with enhanced recreational facilities and cultural programming for all ages.
