Johnston Town Center is a 20-acre mixed-use development in Johnston, Iowa, located at 6205-6245 Merle Hay Road at NW 62nd Avenue. The public-private initiative, which broke ground in October 2019, features dining and shopping destinations, office space, a hotel, and the city’s new City Hall, with a central green space called “The Yard” hosting seasonal events including concerts, a splash pad, and winter ice skating. The development brings together specialty retailers, restaurants, and businesses like Backpocket Pin & Pixel, Blue Bean Coffee, The Cork 50131, and Athletico Physical Therapy to create a community gathering place for both residents and visitors.
