Riverside Skate Park
About
Riverside Skate Park is a public concrete skateboarding facility operated by the City of Waterloo’s Leisure Services Department, located in the 200 block of Fairview Avenue at Joe Straub Memorial Field. Originally built in 2002, the park was destroyed during the 2016 flood and rebuilt after four years of planning and fundraising, reopening in October 2020 as an 8,500 square foot venue designed by Spohn Ranch. The modern facility serves skateboarders and other wheel sports athletes and is wheelchair accessible, reflecting the community’s commitment to providing a durable, inclusive recreational space for local youth.
