Splash pad

The Wayland Splash Pad at West Park, located on West Main Street in Wayland, Iowa, is a free public water play facility that opened in 2020 after community fundraising efforts. Operated by the City of Wayland, the splash pad is themed as “West Park Wetlands” and features water equipment designed to look like lily pads, providing safe family-friendly recreation during the warm months. The facility operates daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day and is part of West Park’s broader recreational amenities, which include a walking trail, playground equipment, and a basketball court.
